Eliana Taylor

Eliana was born and raised in The Bahamas. She began her dance journey back in her home country at The Bahamas Dance Theatre where she trained in multiple dance genres including ballet and jazz for 11 years. Throughout these years she trained extensively in the RAD syllabus, performed and competed.

After moving to Canada in 2017 Eliana took a break from dancing. In 2020 while searching for new hobbies, she discovered and fell in love with Latin music and dance.

After training online in her living room throughout the pandemic, she joined Araguacu in February 2023.

At Araguacu, Eliana focuses on salsa, training and performing with the dance company under the direction of Kim Ramos. Throughout the years Eliana has taken interest in Afrocuban dance, Cuban Contemporary and their fusions with Salsa. It was also in 2023 that Eliana began her journey as a choreographer. Since then she created, performed and competed her routines throughout Canada.

Eliana is excited to begin her teaching journey here at Araguacu. Her main goal as an instructor is to share the love of dance, to inspire and be inspired by her students and to help other dancers grow on their journey, while continuing to grow on hers.
